Today, a conversation with a client reminded me why we started Captainandco.

They were planning an event for their small business and asked whether we would be interested in bringing a coffee cart. They had seen some of the larger brands we work with and weren’t sure their event would be big enough for us.

The answer was an immediate yes.

I was flattered that they wanted us there. I was also glad they called, because I never want someone to look at our corporate events and assume a smaller celebration is outside our world.

Captain&co began at my daughter Elle’s birthday party. Our first coffee cart was built with my father, and the idea was simple: make excellent coffee and give people a genuinely enjoyable experience, wherever they happen to be gathering.

Since then, our carts have served at corporate activations, conferences and events for brands including Open AI, Nike, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon. We love the pace and creativity of those projects. But the reason we started hasn’t changed.

We still love making café-quality coffee for people and helping a host make their event feel special.
